We were delighted to host the Lord Mayor of Portsmouth and Lady Mayoress, Councillor Frank Jonas, Mrs Patricia Jonas and guests at the official opening of our new hi-tech facility in Portsmouth on Thursday 28th June 2012. Guests were treated to a reception in our newly built office facilities, followed by a guided tour of the factory floor.
The relocation to the newly renovated 8,100 sq. ft. facility in Kiln Road, comes only 5 years after our last move and provides us with the additional capacity and floor space, to continue with the latest phase in our expansion plans.
Whilst officially opening the factory, the Lord Mayor of Portsmouth, Councillor Frank Jonas recognised Soumac’s achievement of continued growth in challenging economic times, stating “It is important for Portsmouth that companies like Soumac continue to grow, creating jobs and bringing wealth into the city.”
Soumac Directors, Mike Souter, Tony Mack and Steve Woods said “Everyone at Soumac has worked extremely hard to get where we are today and we will continue to invest in new technology and give our customer’s the quality, service and delivery times they need in these changing and challenging times.
