Soumac were recently approached by a leading UK charity, Shine, to help raise money for families and individuals affected by life-changing spina bifida and hydrocephalus. Keen to support such a worthy cause, Soumac jumped at the chance of taking part in Shine’s fun and innovative virtual balloon race.
For a donation towards the Safe at School Race, Soumac were given the chance to design their own balloon and enter it in the competition, to help the charity continue their valuable support to families and schools when a child with spina bifida and hydrocephalus enters the education system.
Starting off from New York, the balloon that travels the furthest between the 1st September to the 8th September, without popping, wins a case of champagne for its sponsor – real champagne, not virtual!
Currently, the Soumac balloon has travelled 111.77 miles and is located just off the east coast of Atlantic City.
Stay tuned to find out if the Soumac balloon goes the distance!
